On November 1, 2022, the entire school family of Hagley Park Preparatory experienced the HEART of a Good Samaritan, Sherika Osbourne. She did what Jesus would have done.
It all happened when a staff member while on her way to work via public transport was overcome by an illness which rendered her unconscious. A passenger travelling on the same bus came to her rescue. Searching through her bag, she located a document with the school’s name. Figuring the person was a teacher, she Google-searched a contact number for the school and made the call. Sherika delayed her work schedule and stayed with the member of staff until we could get to her at Half-way-Tree.

In recognition of her philanthropic deed, Sherika was presented with an Award of Gratitude and a gift basket courtesy of the Hagley Park Preparatory School. The presentation took place on Friday, November 11, 2022, as part of our Day of Kindness activity.

It was a WOW! moment of excitement coupled with tears of joy as Miss Sherika Osbourne received her plaque and gift basket. Present to offer prayer for Sherika was our Week of Prayer speaker, Pastor Michael Lewis. He thanked God for sending Sherika at the right moment.
In her response, the member of staff noted that “God has promised that whenever I fall He would pull me up and God certainly did on November 1, 2022”.
