Happy New Year: President's Message

We give thanks and praise to God who kept us through 2021, for we have been bruised, battered, and worn by the challenges of life. We have experienced the pain of losing loved ones, sickness on every side, emotional distress, and the disruptions caused by the Coronavirus.

Happy New Year East Jamaica Conference Family!

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We give thanks and praise to God who kept us through 2021, for we have been bruised, battered, and worn by the challenges of life. We have experienced the pain of losing loved ones, sickness on every side, emotional distress, and the disruptions caused by the Coronavirus. But, in all these, "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable" 1 Cor. 15:19.

The good news is that God is with us every step of the way and for this reason we can sing praises to Him for He has sustained us through the year and has kept our peace. The Patriarchs of old admonished, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" 1st Thessalonians 5:18. Then David praised, "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever!" Psalm 118:1.

In the spirit of thankfulness, we turn our attention to you, the members of this great Conference, who have given sacrificial service through the year, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. Many of you have preached the gospel, helped the sick and needy, maintained protocols for safe worship practices, and presented virtual services. All these are praiseworthy. Your acts speak volumes of your commitment, inspiring many to a closer walk with God.

The 2022 Calendar of Events has been disseminated. However, there are a few programmes that we wish for you to bear in mind: • EJC School of Evangelism Graduation Awards and Commissioning, January 1, 2022.

• IAD Centennial Consecration Service, January 8, 2022.

• Breaking the Evangelistic Glass Ceiling – First Wave, January 15, 2022.

• Conventions Zone 1-4, February 26, 2022.

I invite all our Pastors and Elders to rally each member to participate in these events. In closing, I ask that you remember to keep praying for your church and each other. I also implore you to stay safe and let a spirit of praise permeate your hearts and mind. Let 2022 find you growing in faith by studying God's words, witnessing and in being much prayer. I wish each of you, along with your families, a Happy New Year!
