Tom River SDA Church “Power of the Dream” Initiative in Action for a 4th Year

Despite Covid-19 and all its setbacks, the Toms River SDA Church, while observing all protocols, took on the task once again to impact twenty (20) students through their “Power of A Dream” Initiative.

Despite Covid-19 and all its setbacks, the Toms River SDA Church, while observing all protocols, took on the task once again to impact twenty (20) students through their “Power of A Dream” Initiative.

 

The initiative which is in its 4th year, having been launched in September 2018, focuses on motivating and providing financial assistance to children from the community and its environs to excel academically.

 

This year, 20 students were awarded with certificates, plaques, trophies, and cash prizes during a ceremony on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

 

In partnering with the Heart NSTA Trust, one recipient, Eianna Desouza, was presented with a full year scholarship to the Heart NSTA School of Cosmetology through Career Development Officer, Dr. Howard Harvey. The presentation was made by Sis Mary Wizzard.
