On the evening of Saturday April 21, 2018 the August Town Family Ministries Department spearheaded a special event for the two oldest active members of the church family, Mavis Barton 89 and James Dixon 84. The event was a simple thanks giving exercise for the lives of the elderly and to give individuals an opportunity to express their love and admiration for these two senior souls.

It is the desire of our Lord that the church continues the work of taking care of the poor and needy of the land. This mandate has led the East Jamaica Conference (EJC) to plan and execute an event to source funds to continue in their mission of feeding and caring for the less fortunate of the society.

Over sixty students graduated from the Hope in Christ Bible School & EJC School of Evangelism Class of 2018 after successfully completing the prescribed course of study which prepared them for discipleship and to be more effective workers in the Kingdom of God.

On Saturday, May 19, 2017; the New Kingston SDA Fellowship had its inauguration service at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC), New Kingston; where the church was given Company status by the East Jamaica Conference administration. Elder Trevor Little has been assigned as leader of the Church.
