Dental services for children will soon become a reality at the Seventh-day Adventist operated Good Samaritan Inn (GSI) in Kingston, as construction of the promised health facility was recently completed.

The Regent Street SDA Early Childhood Development Centre in Kingston is now officially opened. The Institution, formerly called the Regent Street SDA Church Basic School, was opened in the 1950’s but was closed due to violence in the community during the 1970’s and 80’s.

In spite of the intermittent showers on Sabbath afternoon, April 9, 2016, the yard of the New Haven Seventh-day Adventist was transformed into a venue for worship, as the Personal Ministries Department promoted it's first major outdoor evangelistic series for the year. The series was launched under the caption, "Lord Transform Me...Jesus Now! more than Ever;" and will run four nights - Sundays to Wednesdays - for four weeks, starting April 10 and ending May 8, 2016 Sabbath mornings. The main presenter for these sessions was also introduced.

The sandy Park SDA Church played an integral role recently to assist parents of deaf and hard of hearing children communicate with their children. The church facilitated a thirteen weeks Positive Parenting training program in the Children’s Ministries section of the church where parents and members of the community were taught Jamaican sign language and how to be effective parents.
