    Massive Turnout expected for first Convention in EJC this Sabbath

    President of the SDA Church in Jamaica, Pastor Everett Brown will address the church in East Jamaica Conference in its first convention for the year at the Karram Speid Auditorium in St. Andrew. More than two thousand members from fifty churches in zones 2 & 3 are expected to attend this special convocation which is being held under the theme “Lord Transform Me.”

    East Jamaica Conference said good bye to another valuable pastor, who left the shores of Jamaica to pursue further studies in pastoral ministry abroad. On Tuesday January 12, 2016, Pastor Wendel Monteque, who had served as intern and district pastor in East Jamaica Conference for fourteen years, left for Canada to begin a course of study projected to last three years. He will be joined by his wife Jusanne and three children at a later date.

    On Sunday December 13, 2015 patrons , of the Good Samaritan Inn (GSI) received a special gift of food items from staff members at the Holborn Road branch of Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited who came to show their love and support for the less fortunate in our society. The group of twelve, which was led by branch manager Mrs. Tamara Whyte, brought basic food items for the patrons and assisted with the sharing and distribution of meals to the more than 150 less fortunate who turned up for their Sunday dinner on that day.
