How important is a Vision? This was the question asked by Dr. Ervin Gonzales, Publishing Director of the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists at the 2015 Jamaica Union Conference’s (JAMU) Colporteurs Training. The five days of training took place at the Johnston and Kennedy Camp and Conference Centre, nestled within the cool hills of St. Dacres, St. Ann. The program, spear headed by Pastor Dudley Hosin Publishing Director JAMU, had over one hundred Colporteurs trained and re-energized for canvassing in the mission field in Jamaica.

Jamaica Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (JAMU) was recognized as one of the International Religious Liberty Chapters that has done an outstanding job in promoting religious liberty over the past five years. The recognition was made by the Miami-based Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (IAD) at the end of its second religious liberty congress held from March 18-19, 2015, at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Medellin, Colombia.

A challenge has now been issued to Communication Leaders in Zones 1-3 to push their communication methods up a notch as they seek to fulfill the mandate of the church to “Go into all the world.” The challenge was issued during the second leg of the annual communication workshop for 2015 for Zones 1-3 which was held on Sunday March 22 in the board room of the East Jamaica Conference of SDA.
