The ‘Hope for the Family’ gospel campaign began with a positive community impact on March 14, 2015 as the Stony Hill Police station and HEART TVET Institute Stony Hill Campus, were recognized by the Stony Hill Circuit of SDA Churches for their contribution to the building of the communities which they serve.

Communication leaders from the parish of St. Thomas turned up dutifully for their annual workshop at the Morant Bay Seventh-day Adventist church on Sunday March 15, 2015. The attendance at the workshop was the best in recent times and gained the support of Assistant leaders and other team members working in the communication department of the various churches within zone four.

The East Jamaica Conference’s Phillipsfield Campsite received nationwide support on Monday when it was named as the Labour Day Project for Jamaica Union Conference this year by Pastor Everett Brown, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica. This was done at a JAMU summit with Pastors and church leaders in Mandeville on March 9, 2015.

Beginning Sabbath March 14, 2015, all Seventh-day Adventist churches island wide are to observe a Special Needs Awareness Day with emphasis on persons with disabilities. A declaration was signed at Camp Verley in St. Catherine on Sabbath March 7 by the Jamaica Union Conference President, Pastor Everett Brown, during the inaugural staging of a Special Needs summit in the island.

Two days before departing the island of Jamaica, the Aeolians visited the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Headquarters during their morning devotion to spread some spring cheer. The much esteemed choir, which is from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama in the United States, had been in the island for over a week on their Spring Mission Tour for 2015.

To say that they were happy at the birth of their firstborn would be an understatement. To them, the entrance of a beautiful baby girl to their family was a precious gift from God, so they named her Eden, a name that would perpetually remind her of the creator God of heaven who makes all things good.
