Whoever is generous to the poor, lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deeds (Proverb 17:19)”. These are the sentiments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is the desire of our Lord that the church continues the work of taking care of the poor and needy of the land. This mandate has led the East Jamaica Conference (EJC) to plan and execute an event to source funds to continue in their mission of feeding and caring for the less fortunate of the society.

    There were shouts of appreciation from the children of Kingsway Prep. School (KWPS) at their morning devotion when news broke that the school’s computer lab was outfitted with five new computers, courtesy of Pastor Jovan Whyte who agreed to give part proceeds of his recent concert and album launch towards the purchase of computer systems for his alma mater. The entire school is happy for the kind gesture as the school’s computer lab was badly in need of equipment upgrade.
