“I want to give a big thanks to Bro. McNee, our Community Services Leader who has been instrumental  in  organizing this  event,” Ferguson said.  “We are also thankful for the team of partners who came on board and are working with us today.”

First elder of the Gordon Town Church, Elder Vaughn Thomas   believed that the response of the community treat and health  health fair was tremendous and posited that this was the better the the last one that was staged prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year has been a whopping year. We have seen lot’s of services and lots of people and its bigger and better than in previous years,” Thomas said. The first elder  was happy for for the support of the government teams that came on board to provide important services to community members.

“ Today is a big family affair. We are giving out gift packages  and people are getting their hot meals to go home. We are sharing with the community what God has blessed  us with and our word to them is ‘ We love you but Jesus loves you best.’”

For Community Services leader Donovan McNee, working in this area of the church is a delight but it it does take a lot of hard work. “I really enjoy working in community services,” McNee said. “We are just looking about the interest of the community because we are called by the Father to take care of the less fortunate and we consider this a privilege to be working for the Lord,” said McNee who has been serving as community services leader of the Gordon Town church for the past ten years.
