Greetings My Fellow Believers, blessings upon you and family, Prayer is the most powerful tool for personal and global transformation - anonymous.
In her book, Daring to Ask for More, Melody Mason posits, “God delights to honor desperate prayers, especially when His people press together in unity, standing with faith upon His Word.”
Standing tall on the wings of prayer is a thirty-year veteran elder, Vaughn Thomas, from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gordon Town. Born in Crooked River Clarendon, at the tender age of 14 years old, Vaughn was baptized at the Bryant Hill Adventist Church. Since then, he has never looked back. Through prayer, this Holy Spirit led Elder has been steadfast in duty. His leadership and tireless labour in the field of souls, conducting several evangelistic campaigns since 1989, witnessed many accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. God’s love is exemplified in the life of Elder Vaughn’s humble, ethical disposition, treating others as God would have him to. Yes, this praying Elder has witnessed many battles and victories won through prayer.
Congratulations
Today, we praise God for Elder Vaughn Thomas, his wife Jasmin; daughter, Rochelle and son, Xavier for their prayerful, sacrificial life in labouring for God's cause. We salute you, Elder Thomas, for your dedication and effective ministry through prayer.
World Week of Prayer and Youth Leadership Month
Our Week of Prayer, themed "I Will Go Make Disciples," begins on Sabbath, November 5, 2022, and will end on Sabbath, November 12, 2022. In the month of November, our youth will also provide leadership in our churches. This combination of our Youth in Leadership during our Week of Prayer can only provide more power and greater commitment to God. Hence, we join with our World Church President, Elder Ted Wilson, and millions of our brothers and sisters globally to spend memorable time with Jesus during this Week of Prayer as we carefully consider what it means to follow Him.
I invite you to lift our youth to God in prayer, as today's youth are leaders of tomorrow.
Do have a happy Sabbath!
