Prayer Ministries

Vision: To develop the East Jamaica Conference into a praying Conference where prayer is intentionally integrated into every dimension of church life and where congregations increasingly become communities of believers who seek God together, intercede for one another and carry the needs of their surrounding communities before Him.

Mission: To pray for the Church, teach the Church to pray, unite the Church in prayer and coordinate prayer throughout every level of Conference life so that the mission of God is continually pursued in dependence upon the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ministry Philosophy: Prayer must move from the margins to the centre. Planning should be surrounded by prayer. Administration should be sustained by prayer. Mission should be propelled by prayer. Churches should be strengthened through prayer. Communities should be embraced through intercession. Major decisions should emerge from an atmosphere in which God has first been sought.
