Hagley Park Preparatory School concluded its Week of Prayer, marking the end of an uplifting and spiritually enriching journey that began on Tuesday, March 11. Under the theme "Guarding the Avenues of Your Soul," students, teachers, and parents gathered daily to reflect on the importance of using their senses in ways that honor God.

The featured speaker for the week, Pastor Theodore Henry, captivated the audience with engaging Bible stories that illustrated how our senses help us interact with the world and how we must use them wisely. He shared the story of David, the shepherd boy chosen by God because He looks at the heart, not outward appearances.

Another lesson came from Balaam and his donkey, emphasizing fairness and the consequences of our actions. The story of Samuel hearing God’s voice reminded students of the importance of being attentive to God’s call. The final day of the Week of Prayer was extra special as several parents attended in response to special invitations.

The highlight of the event, however, was the baptism of Alexandria Miller, a nine-year-old grade-five student. Alexandria joyfully embraced her decision to follow Christ, with her father and grandmother proudly witnessing this milestone. Her commitment served as a touching reminder that even a child can lead others to faith.
